Global Logistics Project Management (GLPM) involves the transportation of special cargo, meaning those that are oversized and/or overweight.

To carry out these transports successfully, good prior planning is required on all known variables and a trained work team, with the appropriate elements and capable of executing the master plan.

Hansa Meyer Shipway has decided to follow the following parameters to define project logistics processes:

Initiation > Planning > Execution > Control & Monitoring > Closing

All projects have variables or events that are not known at the beginning, so for the GLPM to continue to be successful, it will require the experience, knowledge and imagination that this working group is able to contribute at critical moments. , to be able to find the right solutions to the unexpected.

That is, we plan even for the unexpected. The Hansa Meyer Shipway’s Team has:

  • Method: to adequately plan what is known.
  • Experience to solve the unexpected.
  • Systems: to coordinate movements and keep the rest of the group informed.
  • Hansa Meyer Global network in countries with its own presence.
  • Two additional networks specialized in projects, Project Cargo Network (PCN) and World Cargo Alliance Project Network (WCAP), all with the same capabilities and experiences.
